I really like the idea of glitch. When I first saw the term I immediately thought of glitch art which I got to explore a little bit in my Imaging in digital practices class last culture. To me glitch is all about distortion and disruption and I think glitch feminism feels the same way. It reminds me of a glitch project I did last quarter using glitch aesthetics as a way to distort ideas about the gender binary. I also really liked the parts in this reading about the online avatar. I relate to these ideas a lot because I have online aliases that I have used for over ten years at this point and at this point they are part of who I am, people see that username and can recognize me from it. I made it when I was a kid and as I became a teen, I started to dislike it as it began to feel childish but now I have come full circle with it and embrace it even if it seems somewhat childish now. Usernames are important because they represent how we want to be called and how we define ourselves. They show others, and even ourselves what we want to be.
